“Preserving Dark Skies” Event

Please come to a free presentation by Cindy Luongo Cassidy about light pollution and ways to preserve safety, security and money while reducing the negative effects of night lighting on flora and fauna. Cindy is a Master Naturalist and has been instrumental in helping Wimberley and Dripping Springs to become certified International Dark Sky Communities. She offers a wealth of information to neighborhoods who want to preserve their night skies. For additional information, call Paula Glover, 830-935-2744.

From Paula Glover:

“When Fred and I bought our land in 2001 and even as late as 2015, we could see the Milky Way from our property. Slowly, light pollution has reduced the visibility. Our covenants protect our night skies. To help us with this, I have invited a fellow Master Naturalist, Cindy L Cassidy, to make a presentation about her work with setting up Dark Skies Communities.”
